What is NomaCare?+
NomaCare helps patients in the United States coordinate medical care at partner hospitals in China — from dental and full-body checkups to cosmetic procedures. We arrange consultations, reservations, and on-the-ground coordination so you know what to expect before you travel.
Is the consultation really free?+
Yes. Booking a consultation through the website is free and there is no commitment. During the consultation we discuss your needs, suitable treatments, partner hospitals, and pricing.
How do I get started?+
Browse our transparently priced packages and reserve your preferred dates — it’s free and takes about two minutes. A care specialist reaches out within one business day, or you can book a free video consultation right away.
Which hospitals are NomaCare partners?+
Our current partners include Foresea Life Insurance Nanning Hospital and Bole Dental in Nanning, China. The hospital list is available on the Hospitals page and grows over time.
Do I have to pay upfront?+
No. Reserving your dates is free — you only pay once your plan is ready. If you pay within 7 days of reserving, you lock in the early-bird price shown on your package; after that, the standard price applies.
How do payments work?+
Reserving is free and creates no obligation. When you’re ready, you pay the full package price through a secure payment page — by card or bank transfer (wire transfer avoids processing fees). Your final price is confirmed with your concierge before you pay.
Is my personal and medical information safe?+
We use encryption in transit and industry-standard access controls. Information about your treatment preferences is treated as confidential and only shared with partner hospitals as needed to arrange your care. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I cancel after paying?+
Yes. Refunds are counted back from your scheduled service date: 14 or more days before — full refund; 7–14 days before — 90% (a 10% service fee is retained); within 7 days — 50%; on or after the service date — no refund. For documented force majeure (travel disruption or medical emergency), we refund in full minus the actual payment-channel fees.
Does my US insurance cover treatment in China?+
Most US insurance plans don’t cover elective treatment abroad, and we can’t bill your insurer directly today. If you’d like to seek reimbursement, we provide itemized receipts, English-language medical records, and treatment documentation to support your claim. We’re exploring partnerships with insurers for the future.
How do I reach you if something comes up?+
Before your trip (while you’re in the US), your care team answers email, phone, and WhatsApp during business hours, usually within one business day. Seven days before departure, we share your China-based bilingual team’s direct contact details, so you always have someone on the ground during your stay.
Will I get my medical records in English?+
Yes. After your treatment, we arrange for your reports, imaging (including dental X-rays), and discharge summaries to be translated into English and shared with you — ready to hand to your US doctor or dentist, or sent directly to them with your authorization.
What about prescriptions after my treatment?+
Your hospital provides any medications you need after your procedure, along with an English-language prescription summary listing generic drug names. Bring this summary to your US pharmacy or doctor — most medications used for dental and follow-up care are available in the US under the same or equivalent names.
What if I need follow-up after returning to the US?+
Your concierge coordinates follow-up communication with the hospital and can help arrange records, prescriptions, or additional appointments with your US providers. Treatment itself is provided by the partner hospital.
Does NomaCare provide medical advice?+
No. NomaCare coordinates care; it does not diagnose or treat. All medical decisions are made between you and the partner hospital’s qualified medical professionals.
When is it safe to fly home after my procedure?+
Your doctor sets a personalized safe-to-fly window before you leave — typically a few days for most dental work, and a week or more after surgery, depending on your procedure and recovery. We follow your doctor’s guidance strictly and never arrange travel against medical advice. For long-haul flights, we also share simple in-flight precautions (stay hydrated, move and stretch your legs regularly, and compression socks when your doctor recommends them) — your bilingual companion reviews them with you before departure.
What if my treatment takes longer than planned — can I extend my visa?+
Yes. If your schedule changes, our team helps you apply for a visa extension: the hospital provides supporting medical documents, and we guide you through the process with the local authorities. Tell your care coordinator as soon as you know your stay may run longer.
What if a complication appears weeks after I am home?+
Contact us first — the same care team, on the same WhatsApp number or email. We coordinate with your treating hospital and doctor, arrange video consultations if needed, prepare any additional English-language records for your US providers, and if a follow-up procedure is needed we help organize the return trip with transparent pricing.
What should I do to prepare before I travel?+
We send you a personalized pre-travel checklist once your plan is confirmed. The essentials: check your passport is valid for at least 6 months, keep your US prescriptions and a copy of your dental or medical records in your carry-on, arrange travel insurance, and pack comfortable clothing and any personal medication. Your care coordinator reviews the full list with you before departure — you won’t be guessing.
